My Fair Lady

My Fair Lady is a musical film based on the play by Bernard Shaw, Pigmalion.

Professor Henry Higgins makes a bet that he can train Eliza Doolittle, a girl who sells flowers in Covent Garden, to pass for a duchess at an ambassador’s garden party by teaching her to talk and pronounce as an upper class lady.

Eliza goes through many forms of speech training and finds it really diffcult to talk “properly”. She makes little progress, but when she’s on the verge of giving up she finally “gets it”.
